The performance and safety evaluation standards for electric bicycles have been further upgraded. The core evaluation items include: the maximum speed is strictly ≤25km/h with automatic current limiting when speeding; the dry braking distance is ≤4 meters and the wet braking distance is ≤5.5 meters; the flame retardant grade of the vehicle wiring harness and battery compartment is V-0, and there is no spontaneous combustion in case of short circuit. At the same time, evaluations of pedal assist response efficiency, frame load-bearing strength, and stability on bumpy roads have been added. All qualified vehicles must pass a 1000-kilometer continuous comprehensive road condition test without power interruption, brake weakness, or line overheating. This evaluation system ensures the stability and reliability of new national standard electric bicycles by double-checking both usage safety and actual performance.
